GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing.
As the Battery Business Development Manager, you will plan our battery segment growth initiatives and engage with the market in order to provide opportunities to our sales team. You will have a good understanding of our products and what sets us apart and communicate that information while networking and presenting at conferences, industry events, and tradeshows. You will identify key customers, seek out new opportunities, research our competition, and identify any market trends and transfer that knowledge to our sales and marketing teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research, plan, and implement annual Battery segment growth initiatives
• Meet with prospective customers and provide actionable leads to sales teams
• Attends conferences, industry events, and tradeshows
• Provide presentations at virtual and in-person industry seminars/consortiums
• Assist in developing innovative marketing programs that drive demand
• Generate white papers, news articles, and competitive comparisons
• Provide new product training and information to sales team
• Provide R&D team with future market trends
• Develop and present annual growth initiatives
• Measure and report market trends
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of product marketing or sales experience with at least 2 years experience working in a battery technology driven industry
• Bachelor’s Degree – EE or Chemistry degree preferred
• Excellent people and management skills to interact with cross-functional teams and executive management
• Very strong written communication and presentation skills
• Strong ability to influence and negotiate with others
• Wiling to travel when necessary
• Measure and report market trends
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
This is a non-supervisory position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
General office skills and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
