GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing.
This position will provide support for a wide variety of human resources activities including employee/labor relations, training, and the administration of on-boarding new employees. The successful candidate will provide information to employees about regulations, policies, and will provide general HR support. This position will perform a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative duties. Also, this position is responsible for full cycle recruiting to fill open candidate positions. The successful candidate will have experience in both technical and non-technical recruiting, from administrative assistants to manager or director level candidates. Frequent interruptions are common, and good task management and follow-up skills are a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create, update, and maintain personnel files.
• Verify I-9 documentation thru E-Verify, and maintain report books.
• Benefits administration including annual renewal.
• Compose new hire letters of intent, new hire packages, track, follow-up and document.
• Coordinate and conduct new hire on-boarding including communication of benefits with all employees and coordinate enrollments.
• Administer employee exits paperwork and interviews.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practice including EEO, FMLA, PFL, ADA, Workman's Comp, etc.
• Coordinate and conduct benefit insurance orientation/training and ensure timely and accurate enrollment of eligible employees.
• Respond to questions & concerns of all employees to assist them in using the benefits plan.
•Full-cycle technical and non-technical recruiting to fill open candidate positions.
• Employment advertisements, sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordination of interviews with hiring departments, reference and background checking, and preparation of offer letter.
• Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, statements, issues, enrollments. dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or PHR certified required
• 2 years recruiting experience
• Strong verbal clarity and excellent grammar to explain benefits etc. to all levels of employees
• Ability to maintain composure while discussing employee issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to "manage" tough personalities
• Excellent organizational skills
• Critically detail oriented
• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
• Extensive Word Processing and spread sheet knowledge in a Windows environment
• Ability to type proficiently
• Knowledge of HRIS systems
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
This is a non-supervisory position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
General office skills and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
